I'm Shaun Alexander Macdonald, a HCI Research Associate working with the SIRIUS Lab in the University of Glasgow's School of Computing Science.
I earned my PhD in Human Computer Interaction under the supervision from Professor Stephen Brewster and Professor Frank Pollick, investigating emotionally resonant vibrotactile comfort objects as a calming intervention for social anxiety.
My current research interests are thermal attacks (the security risk of thermal cameras observing user authentication), affective haptics and emotional encounters with social robots.
